The amazing surreal work of Tetsuya Ishida

We’d like to pay tribute to Tetsuya Ishida today, an extremely talented Japanese artist who painted these amazing and bleak images. The surreal paintings are dark and the figures are intertwined and at times, merged with buildings and machines, reflecting his reaction to the economic and cultural state in Japan at the time. Sadly, Tetsuya died in 2005 after being hit by a train, in what many consider to have been a suicide. Such an amazing talent and a huge loss!
