Color in motion: Sharon Avraham photography
Using color and movement, Sharon Avraham creates these electric photographs that appear almost painterly. He describes his process as being somewhat similar to that of action painters Pollock and Resnick in that he lets the materials guide his and then captures the result. In her relatively straightforward process, Sharon covers his models in paint of different colors and then photographs them as they move and dance around the room. His goal is to “create a new kind of people…where race and skin color disappear enabling us to see the inner world of the soul and where feelings become the color of our skin…for we are creatures of emotion.”
