Laurie Lipton

What can be said about Laurie’s work other than incredible!  Originally inspired by the religious paintings of the Flemish School, she eventually developed her own style, consisting of large-scale drawings made up of fine crosshatched lines.  She admits that the process is fairly insane and takes her a very, very long time.  I can personally attest that the time is absolutely well spent.  The end result are enormous, typically black and white, images that are immaculate and chalk full of dark humor.  The scale, detail, and subject matter are definitely one of a kind and we are so happy to feature her work on the site.  Because, we’re so in love with her, we’ll be sure to post more of her work in the future.  In the meantime though, enjoy the work and be sure to visit Laurie’s face book page at
