Stainless steel cityscapes by Damien Hirst

It was Picasso that said all paintings should bristle with razor blades. The renowned and polarizing artist, Damien Hirst takes this literally in a recent series titled “Black Scalpel Cityscapes.” In them, he covers black canvases with thousands of stainless steel surgical instruments to resemble well-known cities from above. The show can be seen at White Cube in São Paolo through January 31st.
